Land Rover is the oldest automotive modle in its history and it hasnt have experienced significant change so far. Land Rover is very remarkable achievement. In the New York International Auto Show, Land Rover launched its new Range Rover SUV. There are lots of improvement and upgrading to the new Range Rover. These changes include new headlamps, new grille, improved bumper shell, and re-arrangement of the fog lights, LED strips turn lights, three-strip integration new LED taillights.
The interior of Range Rover also did lots of improvement and change. The brand new 12-inch TFT display device is installed in the instrument panel to replace the traditional Analog Measuring Instruments (The current Mercedes-Benz S series use similar instrument panel). Other interior improvements include a wooden pole shift, improved steering wheel, brand new leather escalation of the roof panels and upgraded navigation systems. New GPS system is kind of hard disk device that can be touched, also includes a USB connection and a dedicated iPod port.
The really significant improvement of Range Rover is the engine part. Two types of engines will be providing for customers.
- 5.0L supercharged V8 engine: maximum power of 510hp, maximum torque 461lb-ft (power and torque improved 29% and 12%). 0 to 96km / h : 5.9 seconds (the current is 7.1s )
- 5.0L V8 engine: maximum power of 375hp, maximum torque 375lb-ft, 0 to 96km / h time is 7.2 seconds.
